We think ours was one of the only comedy clubs Tim actually brought his Dad to, twice!
Star of the hit television series ‘Not Going Out’, Tim’s stand-up act consists of a series of quick-fire one-liners and puns. And a bundle of ridiculously silly songs. Oh, and some utterly bonkers props!
Hire Tim Vine and you’re getting a lot of bang for your buck: on 7 October 2004 he broke the Guinness World Record for the most jokes told in an hour, with a whopping 499, beating the previous record of 362. And it’s quality stuff, too – Tim’s the only comic to have won the ‘funniest Edinburgh Joke Award’ twice. His winning entry in 2014: ‘I decided to sell my hoover… Well, it was just collecting dust.’
In recent years he’s diversified with his incredibly popular Tim Vine Chat Show. A favourite with audiences and comedians alike and one of the nicest blokes you’ll ever meet. How could anyone ever have a bad word to say about the man who invented ‘Flag Hippo’?
“The man with the golden pun” THE INDEPENDENT “Fearless imbecility” EVENING STANDARD “Bursting with exuberance and unexpected panache” THE TIMES “Tim has taken the trick of word-play and extended it to lengths no other comedian has ever dared before. A very funny man indeed” BOB MONKHOUSE
