Take A Peep At Isy Suttie

And Her Fabulously Folky Voice

The Incredibly Talented: Isy Suttie

Want to Hire Isy Suttie?

Isy Suttie is probably best known for her hilarious performance as Dobby, the IT nerd, in the critically acclaimed Peep Show. Whilst we could fill ten pages about her acting skills, songwriting skills (she won the Julian Slade Songwriting Competition) and scriptwriting skills (she wrote for cult teenage hit ‘Skins’); we reckon you’re probably more interested in the fact that she’s an exceptional comedian, too. Book Isy Suttie for a heart-warming experience, which shows off all her talents at once: beautifully drawn out characters, beguiling stories and enchanting musical numbers. We think Isy Suttie’s rather special – come to one of her shows and you’re not just an audience member, you’re part of the story.

Isy’s Flavour

Isy grew up in Matlock, Derbyshire, and is fascinated by the way small things can end up being a very big deal in a small town. Some of her funniest material comes from letters from her Mum, which begin with phrases like, ‘A funny thing happened in the fish shop…’ Isy has confessed that her biggest online guilty pleasure is finding pictures of baby rabbits (ooh, look, there’s one in a teacup!), but she says: ‘as far as guilty pleasures go, it’s not as bad as taking heroin.’ She trained at the Guildford School of Acting, and from there, she’s performed just about everywhere from Leicester Square to the Bloomsbury Theatre.

Isy Suttie – Awards Galore!

Isy has been nominated for British Comedy Award ‘Best Female Newcomer’, ‘Female Breakthrough Artist’ and won the Lafta Awards ‘Funniest Woman’ and ‘Gold Sony Radio Award’2013, for the BBC Radio 4 version of Pearl and Dave.
