Radio and television
Daliso Chaponda can make a thorny subject feel like the start of a fascinating conversation. His comedy pairs an inviting delivery with jokes that aren't afraid to go somewhere interesting.
Daliso reached the final of Britain’s Got Talent in 2017 and went on to create and host BBC Radio 4’s Citizen of Nowhere. His television appearances include QI and The Royal Variety Performance.
A childhood spent across different countries gives him an unusually broad perspective on everyday assumptions. His stand-up explores people, culture and the news, with a clear eye for the contradictions along the way.
Beyond the stage, Daliso writes fiction, including science fiction, mysteries and fantasy. That interest in stories is part of the appeal: a curious mind, a clear point of view and a punchline that takes you somewhere you weren’t expecting.
