Hal’s material finds humour in the tensions of ordinary life: appearances, expectations and the gap between how people see themselves and how they behave. His background as an actor comes through in the voices, expressions and shifts of mood that bring his stories to life.
His television credits include Live at the Apollo, Have I Got News for You and The Royal Variety Performance. He co-wrote and starred in the BBC Radio 4 sitcom Hal with Dominic Holland, and his touring shows include Tough Luvvie, Chubster and It’s Best You Hear It From Me.
