Patrick got into stand-up while still a student at Queen’s University, Belfast, and started a club at the city’s Empire club, which he compered. Apart from being lucky enough to have Cat Deeley as his wife, Patrick has gone on to be the host of numerous television programmes, he even once got away with calling BBC Radio 1 DJ Colin Murray a ‘big gayer’, and he once gave out Christine Bleakley’s mobile phone number live on air, on The One Show. She has, however changed her number since then- Sorry Guys!

Apart from having an impressive stage manner about his performances, Kielty also possesses some sharp and funny comments, whether it be surrounding the touchy areas of Northern Ireland or maybe Beyonce’s dance routines, an audience always leaves in delight after Patricks Performances. Whether he pulls a joke out of the bag to which an audience responds with a ‘too soon’ gasp’ or the combination of political observational comedy, Kielty also manages to rip up audiences with hard hitting but very funny material, a little different to how you guys usually see him on the box!

Kielty has been through a lot, especially with his Father being murdered In Northern Ireland when he was just a youngster. He has however, managed to overcome that and become a hit nationwide presenting shows such as The Stand-up Show, Comic Relief, National Lottery Big Ticket, The Big Breakfast, Love Island and Fame Academy. More recently he landed the job of hosting the topical show Stand Up For The Week on Channel 4, oh and did I mention, he’s married to Cat Deeley, CAT DEELEY!!!
