Distinctive comic presence
Ricky Grover brings a distinctive presence to a stage. His comedy draws on a colourful working life, a direct way with a story and an actor's feel for the person at its centre.
Before comedy, Ricky worked as a hairdresser and boxed. He went on to create the character Bulla, seen on The 11 O’Clock Show, and built a career across stand-up, television and film.
His acting credits include Andrew Cotton in EastEnders and Scudds in the 2017 series of Porridge. He also wrote and starred in Big Fat Gypsy Gangster, bringing his character comedy to a feature-length story.
Ricky’s appeal is in that mix of recognisable people and unexpected turns. There is an earthy edge to his comedy, so we’ll talk through your audience and the tone of your event before recommending the right approach.
