Want to Hire Romesh Ranganathan?
Since his debut in 2010, which earned him a finalist spot in Latitude’s new act competition, Romesh Ranganathan has quickly made a name for himself as one of Britain’s best comedians – he won the prestigious Leicester Mercury New Act Award 2013, and his critically acclaimed Edinburgh Festival debut was nominated for the coveted Best Newcomer Award 2013. Oh, and then the following year he was nominated for best show at the 2014 Fosters Edinburgh Comedy Awards. It’s hard to believe he’s a relative newcomer to stand-up – having spent the first part of his career as a teacher. Book Romesh Ranganathan and you’re getting a remarkably self-assured performer, albeit with misanthropic tendencies (and a distinctly grumpy disposition).
Stand up + TV
Romesh has toured with people like Seann Walsh and Ricky Gervais and is becoming a familiar face on TV, too, with guest stints on Mock the Week and Russell Howard’s Good News, a set on Live at the Apollo and a regular slot on Stand Up for the Week. He’s also recently become the host of radio sketch show, Newsjack.
