Want to Hire Harry Hill?

We’ve been huge Harry Hill fans ever since we saw him perform in a room above a pub in Carnaby Street, way back in the early 90’s. When we decided to book tickets for his latest show, ‘Sausage Time’, we were worried we’d feel, well, ‘old’ – like when you go to see the pop stars of your youth, only to find that the audience is one great big mid-life crisis. Thankfully, Harry’s greatest gift is to make adults feel like children. Book Harry Hill and your audience will feel like they’ve been taken to Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory – you really do feel like you’ve entered a bizarre, magical, childlike world of ‘pure imagination’ where anything could happen (although hopefully you won’t turn blue and inflate to ten times your original size).

TV Burp, a string of BAFTAs, two British Comedy Awards…
A familiar face on television, most people will know Harry Hill from his 11 year stint on TV Burp – which won him two BAFTAs in 2008 and another in 2009, plus two British Comedy Awards. He also won again in 2011, but was unable to be there and sent Wagbo to collect it on his behalf.

Harry got his first breakthrough in 1992, when he won the Perrier Award for best Newcomer at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Shortly after, a radio show starring Hill was commissioned, by BBC Radio 4, entitled Harry Hill’s Fruit Corner. Harry hosted the show as himself, and each week he was joined by various other guest performers, as well as regulars Al Murray and Burt Kwouk. In a 2005 poll to find The Comedian’s Comedian, Harry was voted amongst the top 50 comedy acts ever by fellow comedians and comedy insiders, and in 2007 he was voted number five on Channel 4’s hundred greatest stand-ups.

…a film, a musical, seven books…
Not content with his formidable career as a stand up comedian and on TV, he’s written seven books and treated us to ‘The Harry Hill Move’ in 2013. This year, he’s hoping to triumph where the Spice Girls have failed – with his first foray into the world of musical theatre. We can’t wait to see what he does with his London production of ‘I Can’t Sing! The X Factor Musical’.
