Want To Hire Milton Jones?
Milton Jones is a Perrier and Sony Award Winning comedian, whose wordplay and surreal observations frequently reduce audiences to tears. What we love about Milton Jones is that he’s impossible to pigeon hole – he describes his live act as ‘weaving threads of ideas with the tatters of his life, to fashion a uniquely fetching jumper of obscurity’ – whatever that means. It’s a format that’s obviously working exceedingly well for him – his 2013 tour played to 100,000 people, and the 2015 tour is likely to be even bigger.
Milton conjures up truly ridiculous images and finds hidden meaning in the most mundane phrases. He twists logic, mistakes handkerchiefs for ghosts – and waits whilst the penny drops. He is also never short of valuable advice: ‘If you’re being chased by a police dog, try not to go through a tunnel, then onto a little seesaw, then jump through a hoop of fire. They train for that.’
Milton’s wonderful use of language has been showcased repeatedly on Radio 4 (he’s currently on series nine of his own show), but has also been seen on Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow, Mock the Week, and in his first novel, Where Do Comedians Go When They Die? He’s also a regular writer on BBC1’s hit Not Going Out.
“No-one can touch Jones when he hits his stride”

Go On, Hire Milton Jones or Book Milton Jones
Or check out Milton Jones Books! Milton has written a good few books. Our favourite is “Where do comedians go when they die?” which is a semi-autobiographical account of Milton’s life (we have come to believe). However, what may be lesser known to the majority is Milton’s series of Ten Second Sermons. Milton Jones applies his wonderful wordcraft to delicious comic one-liners on the topics of life, the universe and everything. Um, as well as God, Jesus and the Church. It’s a funny old world and we are elated that Milton is in it!
From where we stand, Milton Jones may well be the funniest Christian you are ever likely to meet. He’s definitely the funniest one we have come across. (No crucifix joke intended)
And he doesn’t just talk or write good, he does good too. Milton is a patron of the charity Chance for Childhood.
Check out the blog of his trip to Rwanda here
And he supports Arsenal, which may negate all of the kind words we have just written about him. (Come on you Gunners)
